When I first came to the Finchley Back Care Centre I was in training to run the London Marathon.
I'd only been training for just over a month when I started getting pains in my left hip and knee when I was running.
It was gradual at first but then the pains started to get worse. It got to a point where I couldn't run for 5 minutes without being in extreme pain and it felt like I was dragging my leg behind me. I was desperate to keep training as I was on a very tight schedule. The Big Day was only Two and a half months away. I hadn't given myself much time to train and hadn't anticipated having any kind of injury.
That's when I got in touch with the centre. I had a full examination with an X-Ray, which showed up a few problems with my Spine and Pelvis.
With regular manipulations, 3 times a week, good exercises, and a get back to training program, I was jogging slowly after 3 weeks and back in full training after 5 weeks.
I'd lost a lot of time out of training schedule but without the true professionalism of the centre, their advice and support, I would not have been able to train at all. I was also training pain free.
I went through a full chiropractic program, reducing my visits, as and when I was advised, right up to the marathon day.
I ran the Marathon in 4hrs 58mins 31secs and even though I suffered pains whilst running they where only the pains you'd expect running a marathon. None of my original symptoms ever hindered me again.
I know I wouldn't have completed the marathon without the support of the centre and owe them all a big thank you for helping me realise a life long ambition. I'll see you at my next appointment.

Dear Carrie Ann,
First of all I want to say thank you to you for the wonders you have done for my mother Parvez Mohammad & my 3yr old son Mostafa.
I brought my Mother to Finchley Back Care Centre some where in year 2003 when my mother was suffering from severe back pain going into her shoulders and legs. she could not sleep well and could hardly walk for 10 minutes, and was told by the Hospital to have an operation and still they did not give much hope.
Initially my mom was having treatments for 2-3 times a week. After couple of weeks my mom have a vast improvement. She could sleep well and had more energy; could walk for 30 min which she has not done in years. Now she only has to visit the clinic twice a month for her adjustments.
My son Mostafa was suffering from severe Asthma since he was 1yr old and was prescribed inhalers and still he had to be admitted into the Hospital 2-3 times a year. We as parents were going through a lot of stress because it was effecting his growth. When he was around 2yrs old Dr Carrie started treating him when he was still on Inhalers, since from the first treatment he has been off the Inhalers, and has not had to return to the Hospital. The treatment has worked as a Miracle for this little boy and for us as whole family.
Special thanks to Reception staff and Zak who every time makes us feel very homely.
With many thanks Nadim Mohammad Wembley

Dear Jeff,
I just wanted to express my thanks to you and the team at Finchley Back Care Centre for helping me to overcome the chronic back pain that I have suffered intermittently over a number of years.
I first attended the Centre in January having experienced a lengthy period of lower-back pain, stiffness, sciatica and headaches. Following a detailed assessment you accurately identified the cause of symptoms and following your recommended course of treatment and exercise, the results are astonishing.
The sciatic pain I had suffered for weeks has disappeared along with the headaches and now I can undertake normal activities such as lifting and carrying without risking injury. I have also found that I am now able to stand for lengthy periods without suffering stiffness and pain.
Thank you again for your help. My only regret is that I didn't come sooner.
With kind regards,
Yours sincerely,
Ian Cooper

I've suffered from back pain since I started work as a nurse in 1998.I took this part and parcel of the job until I woke up one day with severe pain and neck ache such that I was unable to work. A friend Suggested trying chiropractic and I was fortunate enough to find the Finchley Back Care Centre in my local directory.
Despite being a bit sceptical about the treatment to begin with Jeff gave me great confidence from the very first consultation. He carefully explained the problems that I had, the programme I would go through and the results I could expect.
After the first four weeks of treatment I already noticed a significant improvement. I now attend fortnightly maintenance session. My advice is to follow the recommended exercise programme and attend treatments as recommended to achieve long lasting results.

Dear Carrie Ann and all,
From the age of 12 I had suffered with horrible lower back and knee pains. I had tried many different therapies and nothing seemed to work. The pains were getting so awful that I was barely sleeping and I could not concentrate at school due to headaches. My mother started seeing a chiropractor at Finchley Back Care Centre and had found that she had significantly less back pain after just a few of chiropractic treatments. In 2001, aged 14, I decided to see if Dr Carrie Ann could help me too.
After a short time, I found that not only was I having little to no back pain, but also the problems in my knees had stopped altogether. I also started to sleep better and had fewer headaches.
At Finchley Back Care Centre, I was taught how important it is to care for your spine, and the care I received was excellent. The staff at the centre were friendly and always made me feel welcome.
In 2004, I decided that I wanted to have a career in a medical profession, but could not decide what. That year, I did my work experience at the centre and after seeing the astonishing results of chiropractic care from personal and professional experiences I have decided to apply to do a chiropractic course at university next year.
I would like to say thank you to Carrie, Zak and Kim and everyone at Finchley Back Care Centre for all their hard work in supporting patients- I feel stronger and healthier.

I would first like to begin with a thank you. I have received a first class level of service from all staff in your centre. I feel very welcome and I always get the feeling of home when inside or even driving past the centre.
I first came to Finchley Back Care Centre in April. On my first visit I was crippled in pain. I'd had lower back pain for 2 years. I have children and I wasn't strong enough to pick them up or interact with them as I used to, I'd seen many therapists and used anti-inflammatories and pain killers. This only helped short term and it never cured anything, I always had some kind of pain and I'd got so used to pain every day that I'd learnt to deal with it.
Come this April 2004, things really took the toll. I'd had a fall in the winter and my lower back pain turned into something I can only describe as crippling. My pain went to my stomach; I saw the doctors and they were sure at the time that it was the appendix. I was rushed to hospital to receive tests which proved nothing to be wrong, then sent home still with the pain. In April I'd got slightly better, and I'd learnt to deal with the pain myself (Alcohol).
It was shortly after my 29 th I was out with friends I hadn't seen for a long time. On the way home I was attacked from behind. I hit the floor and I heard a huge crack. I didn't know what had happened at first and then I realised I couldn't breath. I remember lying on the road thinking I was going to die. I woke up in hospital they did tests and x-ray's of my chest and then told me it was my back, they sent me home with pain killers and anti-inflammatories. I remember thinking 'no-way' I wasn't strong enough anymore to go through this pain all over again.
I sought help and rang the only place left, Chiropractors, I tried many and the only one which could see was Finchley Back Care Center. I had my introduction they took x-rays and did tests. The next day I was treated. I remember my treatment being incredibly painful, but after the first week I could breathe again, and I wasn't taking tablets. After 2 weeks 40% of the pain was gone, After 3 weeks 70% of the pain gone, and after 1 month 90% gone.
I have continued to remain a patient of the centre due to their miracle cure. I am now in a good position I have not had back pain at all. My back is strong and I have better health now than I had 10 years ago, I am a completely changed man. I can not begin to tell you how wonderful it is to pick up my children again something which I haven't done in 2 years.
I can only say from the bottom of my heart 'Thank You' to Jason, Carrie and Zak, the three people who looked after me and not only made me better, but who have made me healthier and stronger than I was before.
Best Regards

I have been attending the Finchley Back Care Centre since September 2004. I was suffering from pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulders. I couldn't turn my head very far which caused discomfort, especially when driving. I also had lots of headaches.
Since having treatment with Carrie, I have noticed a tremendous improvement in the range of movement in my neck and shoulders, the pain has gone and the headaches have been less severe.
I also discovered during my initial consultation that I had one leg shorter than the other. This has now been corrected.
About 20 years ago I had trauma to my lower back, and although I felt pain and discomfort there sometimes, I had got so used to it that I didn't think to mention it. The chiropractor noticed it on my initial consultation, and now it has been corrected.
All the staff at the clinic have treated me with kindness and have made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I especially enjoy the little chats with Zak and Kim on the reception.
I would advise anyone who has treatment, to keep all their appointments. Even if 3 times a week at the beginning seems too much, it is necessary. It is also important to keep up with the exercises you are given, because you will benefit more quickly if you follow the advice from the chiropractor.
With many thanks

Since 2000, I had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and I started to attend the chiropractor later on that same year.
I was suffering from a lot of chronic pain, specifically on my right side, radiating through my eye, neck, shoulder, pelvis and leg. The pain sensation was also radiating down my arm through to my fingers. I was unable to grip with strength, sit up straight or eat properly with my right arm.
I have symptoms of IBS, respiratory and digestive problems and also a lot of swelling throughout my body. I had been unable to move without feeling a lot of pain or able to think clearly and focus on one specific task.
After my examination and X-Rays, I was told that my nerves were pinching throughout my spinal column and my leg was slightly out of alignment.
I was put on an intense programme and I gradually began to feel like I was living again.
I am now able to move my neck without a lot of pain and stiffness; use my right arm more freely; walk longer distances and think without the pain blocking my thoughts.
The exercises I had been given has helped me to strengthen my muscle structure and maintain the adjustments that I had received.
I would like to thank my chiropractor Carrie and the staff at the Back Care Centre for the corrective treatment and support during this time.
My daughter, friends and family have also attended the centre and I would highly recommend anyone else for these treatments. It is worth every penny.
With warm wishes

Just a few words of thanks for clearing up my lower back spasm.
Nearly 4 weeks ago, I came to you in agony, not being able to move freely or walk erect.
During this time, not only have you sought to relieve my predicament, but also you have given me back my zest for living.
I now walk erect, feel well, and have a spring in my stride, all of which were missing when I first came to see you.
I still feel the odd twinge now and again, but I am optimistic that when my intensive treatment finishes, even this will be a distant memory.
Thank you once again for your healing hands, I shall always be indebted to you.
I wish you well in your new position, and am sure you will find your new patients just as thankful as your previous ones.
Good Luck
Lawrence Kaizer
